Is Exion Safe?

Yes! BTL Exion is a safe, Health Canada and FDA-approved technology that uses radiofrequency (RF) and targeted ultrasound energy to rejuvenate the skin and improve tone and elasticity. It has been clinically tested with a low risk of complications when performed by a qualified and experienced provider.

Does Exion Hurt?

Exion treatments are generally comfortable and well-tolerated. Most clients describe a gentle warmth or mild tingling sensation during the procedure. The system is designed with advanced temperature control and AI technology, ensuring precise energy delivery and minimal discomfort throughout the treatment. However, with Exion Microneedling treatment, there can be some discomfort but the numbing cream applied before the treatment will keep the discomfort minimal. 

Is There Any Downtime After An Exion Treatment?

Downtime varies slightly depending on which Exion treatment is performed. Exion Face and Exion Body are non-invasive and typically involve little to no downtime—most clients experience only mild redness or warmth that fades within a few hours, allowing them to return to normal activities immediately.
For Exion RF Microneedling, mild redness, pinpoint marks, or slight swelling may occur and generally resolve within 24–48 hours, with most clients able to resume daily routines the next day.

How Many Exion Treatments Will I Need?

The number of treatments varies depending on your individual goals, skin condition, treatment area, and which treatment being performed. In general, a series of 3–6 sessions, spaced 2–4 weeks apart, is recommended for optimal results. Your provider will create a personalized treatment plan during your consultation.

How Long Does An Exion Treatment Take?

Treatment times typically range from 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the size and location of the area being treated. Smaller facial areas take less time, while body contouring sessions may require a full hour. If completing multiple areas or treatments, more time may be required.

How Long After The Exion Treatment Will I See Results?

Results can vary based on the specific Exion treatment and individual skin response. Clients receiving Exion Face or Exion Body often notice smoother, tighter skin and improved tone within a few weeks, with continued improvement as collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid production increases.
With Exion RF Microneedling, visible improvements in texture, firmness, and scarring typically develop progressively over 4–12 weeks, as deeper collagen remodeling takes place. Skin continues to firm, plump, and rejuvenate for up to three months or more after the final session.

How Long Will The Exion Results Last?

The longevity of your results depends on which Exion treatment you receive and your individual skin health and lifestyle.

Results from Exion Face and Exion Body typically last six months to over a year, as collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid continue to rebuild and support firmer, smoother skin. With proper skincare and sun protection, many clients maintain their results even longer.

Exion RF Microneedling results tend to develop more gradually but can last a year or more, as deeper collagen remodeling provides longer-term improvement in texture, tone, and firmness. Periodic maintenance sessions every 6–12 months are recommended to sustain optimal results and continue stimulating natural skin renewal.
